Note to Competitors:

All too often I get competitors that decide they want to compete when it's 8, 10, or 12 weeks out from a show. This can be done, but it is not optimal! When somebody asks me if I'm getting ready for a show, the answer floating in the back of my mind is that I'm ALWAYS preparing for a show. Most people are usually just thinking about the hard core diet part, which is normally 10-16 weeks, depending on what shape you're in, but everything that leads up to that period is just as important, as is everything that happens after the show! Before the serious diet, there needs to be some "priming" to prepare for what the diet is designed to do. And after a contest is THE OPTIMAL TIME to gain muscle mass!!! Just as the day of a person training centers around their workout with meals, supplements, and timing of nutrients, a competitors goals need to be centered around the Contest AND Contest Prep. The periods before and after contest prep & the contest are just as important as game day, just as the meals and supplements before and after a workout are every bit as important as the workout itself! Long Range Plans need to be thought about with specific intermediate goals along the way to always get the best results ;)

*Jessica Marie Allinder (formerly Jessica True) later spent a year training with Team Bombshell. During that time she competed in several contests including her first National level contest, where she placed 15th out of 29 at the 2011 IFBB North American Championships in Cleveland Ohio on September 2-3! She now trains with Brooke Erickson, IFBB Figure Pro, and continues to help coach women competitors for Rock Solid Physique. Her recent placings include placing 8th out of 18 in bikini at the 2013 Masters Nationals, and 1st Place Masters Bikini in the 2013 Kentucky State Championships
